Design of Wind Bracing for Roofs with Stabilizing Load According to DIN 18800 

The BRACING program projects and designs wind bracing. Stabilizing loads are considered at structures that need to be braced. It is a separate program that runs independently on other Dlubal programs (without an RSTAB system connection).

Further, the BRACING program analyses stresses at compression vertical posts and tension braces according to the DIN 18 800 standard. Also purlines from rolled profiles can be used as compression vertical posts and are designed to simple and lateral torsional buckling in accordance with DIN 18 800, part 2.

  • Calculation of stabilizing loads for structures that need to be braced and the display of result forces for individual bays.
  • Irregular spacing of compression vertical posts.
  • All forces in a member and support forces are calculated according to the II. order theory.
  • Calculation of central deflection of bracing due to wind load proceeds according to the I. order theory.
  • Automatic assignment of profile sizes to members when using different profiles.
  • Design of compression vertical posts and tension braces according to the DIN 18 800 standard.
  • Different compression vertical posts and tension braces based on loads for selected bracing.
  • Automatic design of purlins from rolled I-profiles to classic and lateral torsional buckling after the DIN 18 800 method, part 2.
  • Optimization of purlins from rolled I-profiles.
  • Graphic output of bracing results on a screen or printer.
  • Graphic display of bracing with loads and dimensions.
  • Graphic preview of a printout report. The printout report in an abridged or detailed version. Individual setup of the printout report, insertion of the company heading, datum, paging etc.
  • Lateral torsional buckling design of purlins according to the EL-PL method, considering an interaction.
