Ultimate Limit State Design according |

| Input All relevant RSTAB data is preset appropriately in the module. Therefore, the input is reduced to the definition of the relevant members, sets of members and actions. It is also possible to select the structural objects graphically in the RSTAB model. The already preset materials and cross-sections can always be modified. When you adjust the sections, you can take advantage of the libraries already used in RSTAB. |

| Design The design is carried out according to the selected approach. If the specific requirements such as section type or bending moments are not fulfilled, the interaction conditions according to Rubin are applied automatically. The design loading of general cross-sections is determined without considering the interactions as long as the design ratios of the remaining internal forces are below a user-definable value. Likewise, non-designable internal forces can be excluded from the design by specifying a threshold value. |

| Results The results tables are arranged according to cross-sections, members, sets of members and x-locations. For every designed location, details on the interaction are shown as e.g. full-plastic internal forces, governing (c/t) part or location of the neutral axis. The design criteria are visualized on the RSTAB model so that you can detect critical structural components immediately. In RSTAB, you have access to all tools to graphically evaluate the results graphically, such as the zoom and partial view function, the panel or the print options. If the design is not fulfilled, it is possible to optimize the cross-section: EL-PL selects the section from the same cross-section row which performs the design with the highest possible ratio. Finally, you can export the optimized sections to RSTAB to calculate the internal forces again. All results tables can be transferred to MS Excel or OpenOffice.org Calc. |
