END-PLATE represents the RSTAB add-on module that analyses flexurally rigid end plate connections with high-strength bolts and/or rigid welded joints. The module designs bolts, end plates and welds of the connections, including joints for doubly or singly symmetrical I-sections with M, V and N loads.

Program Features

• Design of two- or four-row rigid end plate connections with flushed or extended end plates according to DIN 18800, part 1
• Analysis - contrary to DSTV Ringbuch - takes into account axial forces (i.e. internal forces M, N, V) and freely definable, singly symmetrical I-sections
• Possibility to calculate a pure tensile force joint
• Separate design possibility for joint welds to specify recommended values according to DIN 18800, part 1
• The layout of the bolts, end plates and welds is done automatically; as an alternative, fixed values for the end plate thickness or for the flange and fillet welds can be entered
• Efficient design with full utilization of possible cross-section reserves; resulting end plate thickness is designed for the respective load and not just fixed constructively according to the bolt diameter
• Efficient weld thicknesses due to a design with complete interaction of moment, shear and normal forces
• Output of the minimally required pre-loading forces (the serviceability limit state)
