Products for Steel Structures

Steel is our strong point…

For calculations in the area of steel constructions both the finite elements program RFEM and the frameworks program RSTAB are well suited. Both program families have specific add-on modules for the design of steel constructions.
In case you want to determine only the cross-section properties, the program SHAPE is appropriate. There is also a great variety of add-on modules for the design of connections and for dynamic analyses.
Here is a list of the modules that are the most useful for steel constructions.
Steel design with the finite elements program RFEM
Useful RFEM environment for plates, shells, solids and frameworks:

If buckling or stability analyses according to 2nd order theory (e.g. for tanks or containers) are required additionally:

When you need to examine dynamic problems (e.g. earthquakes):

Steel design with the framework program RSTAB
Recommended minimum package for the member design:

For checks according to AISC ASD:

When you additionally need plastic cross-section analysis for general steel profiles:

When you frequently need to do calculations using any cross-section:

When you need to do a more detailed lateral torsional buckling analysis with special support conditions and any cross-section:

When you need to calculate steel connections:

General buckling analysis:

For calculating typical craneway girders:

Useful additions for stability calculations of the overall system:

For faster automatic generation of combinations of load cases:

When you need calculations of dynamic problems (e.g. earthquakes):

For other problems related to steel constructions:
