RF-DYNAM Basic 4.xx

Eigenmode Analysis and Natural Frequencies  

The RF-DYNAM module makes a fast and easy eigen-frequency analysis for your RFEM project. All necessary input values can be automatically transferred from RFEM. RF-DYNAM calculates the natural frequencies of planar and spatial plates, shear walls and shells as well as of mixed systems.
To determine up to 200 of the lowest eigenvalues, there are two high-performance equation-solving methods available: the subspace iterations procedure and the Jacobi rotation procedure. In addition, the influence due to the axial forces in both members and surfaces can be considered.
Program Features

  • Complete integration in RFEM, one can, for example, automatically determine and consider the mass from the self weight out of the RFEM-defined material data
  • The geometric stiffness matrix can be influenced by taking into account the axial forces of a load case or a load group of RFEM
  • For the dynamic analysis of cable structures, the pre-stressing forces can be considered
  • Eigenvalues of the angular frequency, natural frequencies and eigenperiods are listed in tables
  • All detected eigenmodes can be illustrated through multifaceted possibilities in RFEM
  • The eigenmodes can be graphically animated with the specification of the natural frequency
  • Both translation and rotation springs as well as elastic foundations are considered in the calculation model
  • Automatic consideration of loads as masses
  • Possible input of additional node, member and surface masses
  • The documentation of the eigenmode analysis is done in tables and customiable graphics within the Printout Report
