RS-COM is a programmable interface based on COM technology. Using this interface, you can customize RSTAB to suit your individual needs and program input macros or post-run routines.
You can also create new positions in RSTAB and save specific data there. The same holds for load cases, load groups and combinations.
RS-COM contains an object library for common programming languages, such as Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Visual C++ (also .NET). This object library includes objects and methods that allow access to RSTAB data.
However, you can not use RS-COM without an editor, compiler and basic programming knowledge. You can easily integrate the supplied object library to the editor. For example, if you have Microsoft Excel, you do not need more, because the VBA editor is included in this software.
To run the RS-COM interface, valid licences for RS-COM and RSTAB are required. The same holds for appropriate modules (STEEL, SUPER-LC) whose data are used.
