| Results All design results are displayed in tables that are arranged according to specific subjects. The result values in the tables are shown always together with the corresponding cross-section graphic. It is also possible to represent every intermediate value.
General stress design The general stress design for the crane girder is carried out by a calculation of the existing stresses and a comparison of the limit normal, the limit shear and the limit equivalent stresses. The general stress design is performed for welds as well, concerning parallel and vertical shear stresses and their superposition.
Fatigue design The stress diagram of the crane passage is recorded for each stress point. The stress curves are evaluated by means of the Rainflow method. Their result peaks are compared with the allowable values mentioned in DIN 4132. The Rainflow method allows for the summation of stress spans in accordance with DIN 4132, equation (4), and thus for designs that are considerably more efficient.
Buckling design The buckling design is carried out according to DIN 18800, part 3, considering normal stresses, shear stresses and shear stresses from local actions. The design is performed in accordance with the interaction condition (14) described in DIN 18800, part 3.
Deformation analysis The deformation analysis is carried out for the vertical and horizontal direction separately. Calculated displacements are compared with the allowed values. The allowable deformation ratios can be specified individually in the calculation parameters.
Lateral torsional buckling design The design against lateral torsional buckling is performed according to the second-order analysis for torsional buckling considering imperfections. The general stress design must be fulfilled, but the critical load factor must not be less than 1.00. Therefore the corresponding critical load factor is displayed for all load groups of the stress design.
Support forces The program determines all support forces from the characteristic loads. |
