Graphical User Interface of RFEM 5

Revised User Interface and Individual Adjustment

Intuitive Graphical User Interface

You create the structure in an environment similar to CAD systems or by entering data in tables. By a single right-click on an object in the graphics or the navigator, you can open the context menu facilitating the creation or modification of structural elements. The graphical user interface can be operated intuitively. Thus, structural and load objects are generated in no time.

Multilingual Program Handling

You can work with the program in the following languages: German, English, Czech, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish and Russian. Moreover, you can modify the design of the user interface: Select between nine different styles, for example Office 2007 Blue, Silver, Aqua or Black.

Saving User-Defined Configurations

Menus and toolbars can be configured freely. In this way, frequently used functions can be set in customized arrangements. To restore the default settings, only one mouse click is required. Tables, navigators and toolbars can be arranged and docked anywhere in the program.
Furthermore, with the new Configuration Manager you can specify user-defined settings for display, program options, toolbars etc. and save them as separate configurations.

Photo-Realistic Visualization

Due to the model's photo-realistic visualization in 3D rendering, an immediate check of input data is ensured. The display colors can be freely adjusted and saved separately for screen and printout.

Display Control of Objects

Objects like nodes, members, supports etc. can be displayed and hidden individually. Moreover, you can dimension the model using lines, arcs, angles, inclinations or height indications. Freely defined guidelines, sections and comments help you enter and evaluate structural data. Guide objects can also be turned on and off specifically.

Global Unit Control

Units for input data, loads and results in RFEM as well as in all add-on modules are specified in one general dialog box. The settings can be stored and, if necessary, imported later. In this way, you can use different cross-sections for example in steel and reinforced concrete construction.
