Reinforced Concrete Design acc. to Eurocode and International Standards

In addition to the design of reinforced concrete structures according to the European Standard EN 1992-1-1:2004 (EC 2), engineers can use the Dlubal programs RSTAB and RFEM to design structural systems according to the Swiss and American Standards SIA 262 and ACI 318-11. Together with the relevant add-on modules you can design members and columns in both main programs. The RFEM add-on module RF-CONCRETE additionally allows you to analyze plates, walls, planar structures and shells. Furthermore, RSTAB and RFEM offer you the possibility to perform a deformation analysis for cracked reinforced concrete (state II).

Prestressed Concrete Design acc. to Eurocode 2 with RFEM

With the RFEM add-on modules RF-TENDON and RF-TENDON Design we can now offer you two programs used to calculate prestressed concrete members with bonded post-tensioned concrete according to EN 1992-1-1 (concrete constructions) and EN 1992-2 (concrete bridges). RF-TENDON is the add-on module required to define tendons. With RF-TENDON Design you perform the prestressed concrete design according to Eurocode 2 on the basis of the results calculated with RFEM and RF-TENDON.

DLUBAL encountered great visitor interest at the BATIMAT in Paris

The BATIMAT trade fair is the largest trade fair in France and one of the leading construction fairs worldwide. It takes place every two years in Paris. From November 7th to 12th 2011 Dlubal Engineering Software was exhibiting for the first time. Visitors saw the programs RSTAB, RFEM and RX-TIMBER in live presentations. The Dlubal team encountered great interest among the BATIMAT audience and made new contacts with engineering offices and authorities. A wide international public was attracted by the Dlubal stand and followed detailed software presentations. Visitors interested in Dlubal products were mainly active in steel, concrete and timber construction.

Dlubal Engineering Software in the Netherlands

Since 2010 Dlubal software users in the Netherlands can count on additional customer support in their country. RFEM Nederland whose managing director is Emiel Peltenburg is the official distributor for Dlubal products in the Netherlands. Being an experienced engineering expert Emiel Peltenburg became a trusted partner of the Dlubal company. Since that time, the interest in Dlubal programs for structural and dynamic analysis has grown steadily. Dlubal software stands out with its user friendliness, stability, professional customer support at fair prices and its open program architecture. This year RFEM Nederland presented the advantages of Dlubal programs at several events.

Aluminum Design acc. to Eurocode 9 with RSTAB and RFEM

For both analysis programs RSTAB and RFEM the Dlubal company is now offering an add-on module for the design of aluminum members according to the European standard 1999-1-1:2007 (EC 9). Use ALUMINIUM to perform the design for tension, compression, bending, shear and combined internal forces. The program is able to take into account various cross-sections, for example I-sections (symmetric and unsymmetric), C-sections, T-sections, rectangular hollow sections, square sections, round sections, angles with equal and unequal legs, flat steel and round bars.

BIM-Oriented Planning with RSTAB and RFEM

The 3D programs for structural analysis RSTAB and RFEM developed by the Dlubal company provide a number of efficient interfaces. Thus, Dlubal software is seamlessly integrated in the BIM-oriented planning process. During the planning with Building Information Modeling (BIM), CAD programs and programs for structural analysis are using the same models because the transfer is carried out directly. RSTAB and RFEM for example have direct interfaces with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Structural Detailing, Autodesk Revit Structure and Tekla Structures.

Eurocode Design of Bolted Frame Joints with Dlubal Software

For both analysis programs RSTAB and RFEM the Dlubal company is now offering an add-on module helping you to design and classify bending-resistant, bolted connections between columns and horizontal beams according to Eurocode 3 and DIN 18800. You can design frame joints and T-joints as well as cross joints and connections with continuous columns. It is possible to design connections of structures that have been calculated in RSTAB or RFEM. In case geometrical and load data is not yet available, you can enter manual definitions.

Continuous Planning According to Eurocode with Dlubal Software

Structural engineers use the framework program RSTAB and the FEA program RFEM to ensure a seamless planning process for designing 1D, 2D or 3D structures according to Eurocode. The entire planning can be performed consistently according to the relevant European codes, from the automatic generation of load groups and combinations to structural calculations, from the generation of wind and snow loads to dynamic analysis. Depending on the programs selected for the software package you can design any kind of structure, whether it consists of steel, reinforced concrete, timber or a mixture of materials.

Dlubal Programs Help to Save Stone Monuments in Angkor, Cambodia

Stone monuments in the Angkor archaeological park, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are considerably deteriorated nowadays and the state of the preserved ones is getting worse quickly. Thus, international experts are intensely looking into causes of a bad technical condition of these important monuments and try to find suitable solutions for their rescue. The Czech research team participates in saving these monuments in Angkor as well, with the five-year research project "Thermal Imaging and Structural Analysis of Sandstone Monuments in Angkor". The main project objective represents an analysis of a stone structures loading by environmental temperature changes and their influence on a static safety of the monuments. Besides the research directly in Angkor, numerical simulations of behavior of stone structures loaded by external actions, focused on an effect of temperature changes also make a part of the project. The program RFEM by the Dlubal company was used to create numerical models and carry out a structural analysis.
