Non-linear Material Laws to Consider Plastification |
Use this advanced RFEM setting to take into account non-linear material behavior for surface elements.
| There are two ways to consider material non-linearity in RFEM. The "Plastic" material model allows for the definition of an equivalent stress at which the material begins to plastify. |
| The second possibility is represented by the "Diagram" material model. Take advantage of this option and define a polygonal stress-strain diagram. If the defined principal stress will be exceeded, the element's plastification starts.
Optionally, the diagram can be defined for compression and tension separately.
Moreover, it is possible to save the various stress-strain diagrams. A number of predefined diagrams is already provided. In addition, an interface with MS-Excel is available. |
