Calculation of Effective Lengths for Lattice Towers |
The add-on module TOWER Effective Lengths determines the buckling lengths of members used in lattice towers with square, rectangular or triangular floor plans. When entering data the program considers user-created lattice towers generated in the main program RSTAB as well as lattice towers from the add-on modules TOWER Structure and TOWER Equipment. Subsequent to the determination of the effective lengths you can export them to the add-on module TOWER Design for further use.

| Features
- Determination of buckling lengths for members in lattice towers from RSTAB or TOWER Structure and TOWER Equipment
- Options to consider nodal restraints of different bracing types

Input
The tower type, the equipment number as well as the member assignment in the individual categories are defined in the general data settings. For lattice towers defined in the add-on modules TOWER Structure and/or TOWER Equipment the program performs the assignment automatically. |

| Detail Settings
With the detailed settings you can control the nodal restraints of the single bracing types. For example it is possible to define intersection points of horizontal and vertical bracings to be supported so that they cannot deflect in perpendicular direction to the bracing plane. |

| Output
TOWER Effective Lengths shows the effective lengths in clearly-arranged results tables after the generation. It is possible to modify single buckling lengths manually in the tables. The effective lengths can be exported to the add-on module TOWER Design (in preparation) for further work by using the export function. |
