Description

I would like to convert the load from a surface load to a line load, that is, to apply it to the individual beams. How can I do this without using an auxiliary area?

In RFEM and RSTAB, it is possible to automatically convert area loads into member or line loads. There are three options available for this:

  • Member loads from surface loads via plane
  • Member loads from surface loads via cells
  • Line loads from surface loads on openings

If converting surface loads into member loads, it is necessary to define a plane by using corner nodes or select the corresponding cells in the graphic window. The surface load can be applied to the entire surface or, if nexessary, to the effective area of the members, or to its projection.

You can find the functions in the program menu under Tools → Generate Loads.
