The project St. Josef in Holzkirchen comprises the main church and a chapel which are connected by a common foyer with the sacristy. The foyer area and the sacristy were built as a reinforced concrete building. Main church and chapel are differently sized timber structures and take the form of inclined truncated cones with an elliptical footprint.

This slender timber pedestrian bridge was constructed over the Bow River in Banff. The town of Banff is Canada’s first national park located in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. At 13 ft wide and 38 ft long, the bridge is complete with an 263 ft clear span which is perhaps the longest of its kind for a timber bridge.

Within a short period of time, a modern aluminum structure with sophisticated building services was constructed for the company Hydro Aluminium in Grevenbroich.
The construction project on the premises near Düsseldorf covers approximately a length of 722 ft and a width of 394 ft. It includes various connecting bridges to the existing premises, a three-aisled production hall with outbuildings as well as a 328 ft long and 99 ft high high-rack warehouse which was constructed in slipform paving technology.

After three years of construction, the new production of the renowned Scottish whisky maker Macallan was completed in May 2018. The company building has a spectacular roof structure which fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. The green roof spans over a length of more than 656 ft. It consists of five domes with tapered off canopy.

The tree-top trail in the Giant Mountains (Czech: Krkonoše) is the second experience path of eak (Erlebnis Akademie AG) in the Czech Republic.
Over a length of 4922 ft, it twists through the treetops of the mixed mountain forest. It ends at a look-out tower with a height of around 141 ft, and its platform offers a breathtaking view over the Krkonoše National Park.
A kindergarten, designed according to Building Information Modeling (BIM), is currently under construction in the Tyrolean municipality of Schwoich. The digital 3D model accompanies the construction project from design until completion.
The architectural planning has been performed with Autodesk Revit. The structural model, including cross-sections, materials, loads, etc., has been exported to RFEM with the direct interface and designed there.

A unique project called "Oxigeno" is currently under construction in San Francisco de Heredia, San José, Costa Rica. The recreational and commercial space, which measures almost 1,345,489 ft², offers the visitor a relaxing shopping atmosphere in harmony with nature. Amongst others, 200 trees were planted on the site. The main food court is covered with a 17,222 ft² ETFE cushion as roof, currently the biggest one in the world.

The bridge construction of Isarsteg as integrating artwork fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Taking nature as an example, the bridge overspans the Isar river like a branched limb. The ramps, stairs, columns and horizontal beams represent together the spatial framework. The pedestrian and cycle bridge, in total 525 ft long, was made of weather-resistant structural steel S355 J2G2W (corten steel).

A unique installation, Conversation Plinth is a collaboration between IKD, a Boston-based architectural design firm, Bensonwood, SMARTLAM, the first CLT manufacturer in the US, and Clemson University’s Wood Utilization and Design Institute.
One of five Exhibit Columbus winners of the J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller prize, Conversation Plinth is designed to generate conversation around the use of hardwood CLTs in US construction. While softwood CLTs have been used in North America in the construction of mid-to-high-rise buildings, the hardwood variety has only been available in Europe.
|Structural analysis||Études Techniques Lyonnaises, France|
The Études Techniques Lyonnaises engineering office was in charge of planning and structural design of the foundation of an industrial site’s new unloading area in the Isère department in France.
The new unloading area consists of a steel framework built on a base slab. The total area is divided into two parts: a traffic and unloading zone for rail cars, and an area with a pit and a traffic zone for lift trucks.
