Online training on the design of timber structures according to DIN EN 1995-1-1

Due to new construction methods, first of all the cross laminated timber construction, the timber construction has opened up its area. This training gives an introduction to the design of timber structures with the program family RFEM.

The special features of the material models and the dimensioning of the fasteners on surfaces are discussed in detail. After the design of simple two-dimensional structures, the design is transferred to three-dimensional structures.

In addition to the verifications in the limit state of the load-bearing capacity, the design in the limit state of serviceability and the seismic verification are explained.
