I have defined several load cases and would like to additionally apply a permanently acting prestress as a member load. To which load case is the prestress ideally assigned?

Answer

At this point, it is recommended to create load combinations:

First, create a new "Prestress" load case, see Figure 1.

Only within this load case should the corresponding prestress be entered as a member load. The action category "prestress" is considered as permanently acting just like the self-weight. Thus, the load case prestress is included in all generated load combinations when activating the automatic load combinatorics, see Figure 2.
