How can I find members lying on top of each other and delete one of them?

The model check of RSTAB and RFEM makes it possible to find members that lie on top of each other.

Find duplicate members:

Go to "Tools" → "Model Check" → "Overlapping Members." Double members are displayed in a dialog box where they are sorted by groups (see Figure 1 and Figure 2).

An unnecessary member can thus be deleted: Click (clear empty area) to open the selection and then right-click the member. Now you can use the "Delete Member" function in the member shortcut menu.

In the menu "Edit" → "Allow Double Members", it is possible to generally exclude overlapping members (see Figure 3).

Alternatively, you can use the model check to display the pairs of members as an Excel list or to create parts (see highlighted buttons in Figure 4). The visibilities created in this way can be quickly used to find and delete relevant members in the model.
