Modeling | Structure RFEM 5.xx

I would like to put a plate on a line support with spring stiffness varying linearly about the line support length. Is there any option in RFEM to model exactly this case?

Answer

Unfortunatelly, there is no option of defining a variable spring using the support length. In this case, you should set a nodal support in a sufficiently fine part and assign these different spring stiffnesses. If you set the nodal support on a line, it is always possible to imply a node. At the same time, the node also represents an FE imposed node, which means that an FE node is created on this node automatically.
