How do I install the network license (USB dongle) on the server?
The complete dongle software package includes the driver, the license manager and the admin control center. You can download it from the following links:
GUI version (user interface): http://download.dlubal.com/?file=Sentinel_LDK_GUI_setup.zip
Command line version: http://download.dlubal.com/?file=Sentinel_LDK_cmd_line_setup.zip
After unpacking, the software package can be installed from the command line with the haspdinst -i command.
Install the dongle software package on the server. The required driver package for the clients is usually supplied with the program installation, but can also be installed manually.
During installation on the server, the license distribution service is installed - the Sentinel LDK License Manager. This service is running on port 1947 and must be started.
If the client does not find the server on the network automatically (for example, because of a different subnet or access through a VPN connection), the IP of the server must be manually specified on the client. This configuration can be made via the Admin Control Center (ACC), which can be called up on the client via the following link:
http: // localhost: 1947
Under Configuration → Access to Remote License Managers, enter the server IP and confirm with [Submit]. Be sure to specify the IP address here, not the server name. Otherwise the name resolution u. Not.
This configuration is stored in the file hasplm.ini, which can be found on the client in the following directory:
• 32-bit: C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Aladdin Shared \ HASP
• 64-bit: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ Aladdin Shared \ HASP
The network dongle should then be displayed under Free Port 1947 in the Admin Control Center under the Sentinel Keys.
