How do I obtain radial mesh refinement for angular base geometry?

Answer

The mesh refinements were adapted in the course of versions. Currently, they are adjusted to the geometry: if you have, for example, angular base geometry, the refinement is applied angularly. On the other hand, if there is circular base geometry, the refinement is also oriented radially.

In order to radially mesh a partial area in angular base geometry, you can insert a circular opening into the surface and close it again with a circular surface of the original thickness (see figure).
