How does the fire protection design according to EC 3 with the additional module STAHL EC3 work?

Answer

In order to carry out a fire resistance design in STEEL EC3, it is necessary to select a load case or a load combination in the dialog 1.1, tab "Fire protection", for which the fire resistance design is to be carried out.

As soon as you have selected a load for the fire resistance design, an additional dialog "Fire protection - Members" or "Fire protection - Set of members" appears in the module navigator on the left (if sets of members are to be calculated in the module case). In this dialog 1.10 or 1.11 further settings for the fire protection design of the component can be set.

Further detail settings (e.g. required duration of fire protection, etc.) can also be found by clicking on the [Details ...] button and selecting the "Fire protection" tab.

Further information can be found in the manual for STAHL EC3.
