Is the punching load in RF‑PUNCH Pro taken from the support forces of line supports in the case of the design on a wall corner? Which lengths are decisive for applying the support forces?

RF-PUNCH Pro only uses the support forces in the case of punching shear designs of nodal supports.

For the punching shear design on wall corners and ends, the shear force in the critical perimeter is used instead of the support force of the line supports. This has the advantage that it is also possible to determine the punching load even if a wall has been entered in a 3D model instead of a line support. Thus, this approach in the add-on module is more general and can be applied regardless of the modeling type.

Further information about determining the punching load on wall corners and wall ends can be found in the technical article on our homepage, which you can open by using the following link.
