AnswerIn RFEM, it is possible to search for FE mesh nodes using the menu 'Edit'→ 'Find by Number'. An existing FE mesh is of course a prerequisite.
AnswerThe easiest way to find a member is to select Project Navigator - Data. Here, right-click the members and select "Find Members." Now you can enter the member number and the member is marked with an arrow in the graphic.
AnswerThe load case descriptions, load case numbers and also units can be hidden in the 'Project Navigator - Display'.
AnswerIn the first step, an automatic renumbering of the entire model should be carried out such a way, that any later numbers will be used. Then, it is possible to select the surfaces in groups and provide them with the required number. Both a single and an automatic renumbering can be performed.
AnswerThe add-on module RF-/PLATE-BUCKLING is not downward compatible. Please open the file with the same version as when you created the file or with a newer version. Previous versions can be downloaded via the link below this FAQ.
AnswerGenerally, two things are required for the licensing:The license key can be provided via a USB dongle or by means of a network softlock on a central company server. For the licensing from perspective of a client, there must be a permanent connection to the server. Once a license has been assigned, it can be viewed on the web-based license surface at http://localhost:1947/_int_/sessions.html. An automatic timeout after 12 hours of inactivity prevents a license from being permanently assigned and releases it to other users.
With the most recent generation of license keys, it is possible to activate 50 licenses per program and add-on module. This means that you can access RFEM and RF-STEEL EC3 from a maximum of 50 computers at a time.

AnswerThey are internal numbers and are not provided in the corresponding standards. Depending on the existing internal forces and parameters (stability, fire...), the resulting design is different. These numbers may be useful, for example, when exporting the design results to Excel in order to filter them. There is no list available for these numbers.
AnswerYou should always use the same version of Viewer as the version used to create the file.Project Manager provides the option to check the file with regard to its properties. The version number is also available there (see Figure 01).You can download the relevant program version under the following link:

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
