Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
AnswerIf you can not grab any of the background film's dots, make sure the object snap settings are correct. If all other points are detected by object snap, the problem already lies with importing the background slide. If 2 lines are not exactly in one plane, even if these planes have only one infitisimal small distance, no node is formed during the import. Thus, this intersection can not be selected. You should solve this problem directly in your DXF file.
AnswerAt the bottom of the user interface of RSTAB and RFEM is the status bar. The center area can be used to influence the user interface. If the options FANG and OFANG are activated, grid points, nodes and objects can be caught (see Figure 1). Then a dimensioning of the system is possible.
AnswerThe structure is probably far from the zero point (0, 0, 0). The structure should be moved to the zero point for the object snap to work as desired.
AnswerPlease note that the object snap must be activated for inserting a new linear dimension. Also, it is necessary to activate the corresponding objects for the snap in the "Object Snap" tab of the "Work Plane and Grid/Snap" dialog box.
The object snap can be activated in the status bar (see the figure).

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you for the valuable information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. I have used a lot of software with a support contract in the field of structural analysis, but your support is by far the best. ”
