Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
AnswerIf using a real computer with the Windows operating system and there were no hardware changes and/or new installation of the operating system, the license problem is usually caused by the following:
- The mandatory service "Sentinel LDK License Manager" may be damaged after a Windows update.
- The antivirus program blocks the hasplms.exe file.
- Other security software (for example, Sandboxie) prevents proper communication of the license service.
AnswerFirst information beforehand: If you run the program as a full version, it does not jump into the demo mode if the license cannot be found during the calculation or saving process. It remains in a waiting mode until the license is available again. It is then necessary to distinguish the type of licensing.
In the case of a single-user license, you should check whether the hardlock was installed on the computer, and whether the indicator light situated at the end of the dongle is visible. If not, you should use another USB port, preferably directly on the PC.In the case of a network license, the problem might be caused by a failure in the network connection. In the web-based license user interface http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html, you should check if the license key is available.Furthermore, it is possible to look at http://localhost:1947/_int_/features.html to see if a free license is available for the respective program or add-on module. If the licensing problem persists, you can create a diagnostic report from the warning message. Send it to our customer support.

AnswerThe license drivers are digitally signed. If you try to install a new license driver that is missing in the existing signature of your operating system, the corresponding message appears.
To fix this problem, please run Windows Update. After you restart the operating system, the installation should be completed.
AnswerThe cause for this is that a service of the dongle driver is still in use, and therefore, it cannot be stopped by the installation. In this case, you have to manually close the corresponding service, for example, hasplms.exe or hasplmv.exe, in Services of the operating system. Then you can proceed the installation without any problems.
AnswerThe cause of this message is usually a defective video card driver. After updating the driver by using the homepage of the graphics card manufacturer, the message mentioned above will no longer appear and the programs start as usual.
AnswerYou can examine this port using the Telnet client. To do this, the Telnet client must first be activated via the Windows internal components (see figure). If this is the case, you can start the following command at the prompt:
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1947 (with "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" - IP address of the server)
If the entry follows an empty window, the connection is successful. If the Telnet client can not establish a connection, this will be output and your IT will establish communication from port 1947.
When using the new Sentinel network dongle, the changes are as follows:
1) The software package of this dongle includes the driver, License Manager, and Admin Control Center now. You can download it under the following link:
GUI Version (Graphical User Interface):
Command Line Version:
After unzipping the file, you can install the software package by using the command line "haspdinst.exe –i."2) The license service has been renamed from "HASP Loader" to "Sentinel LDK License Manager" and runs via port 1947 now (previously via port 475).
3) The file "nethasp.ini" is no longer required in the case that the client does not find the server in the network automatically. The new file is named "hasplm.ini" and can be created on the client in Admin Control Center (ACC). You can access ACC using the following link:
In the "Configuration" category, tab Access to Remote License Managers, you can enter the server IP and confirm by clicking 'Submit' (see Figure 01).
The "hasplm.ini" file is stored in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you for the valuable information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. I have used a lot of software with a support contract in the field of structural analysis, but your support is by far the best. ”
