It is not possible to outsource the calculation to a cluster for RFEM.
One way to relieve computer workstations of complex calculations is to:
RFEM is installed on a terminal server with well-equipped hardware. Every member of staff who has to carry out complex calculations receives access to the server via remote desktop.
Network licenses are required for this option.
AnswerUnfortunately that is not possible. Both remote desktop access and the use of virtualization software are provided and blocked.
AnswerDongle servers are not supported for local dongle by our dongle manufacturer (Gemalto). Thus, we can not guarantee functionality and support when using a dongle server. If you want to access a license from several computers, you need a network dongle. Contact our sales department for this.
The installation of RSTAB and RFEM on a terminal server is possible.
Prerequisite is a network license.
There is a technical limitation. When accessing a terminal server via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), it is not possible to use OpenGL hardware acceleration. This leads to a slightly slower working in the graphics for large models.
AnswerThe online service "Snow Load Zones, Wind Zones and Earthquake Zones" is an interactive website that uses a script code to calculate the results and the Google Maps API to display the map graphics. To use it, you must at least trust dlubal.com.
The following procedure must be used to remove the cloned license:
1. Go to http: // localhost: 1947 to access the Admin Control Center (ACC).
Second In the "Admin Control Center" (ACC), locate the target license "Sentinel SL AdminMode".
Third Click on the "Certificates" button on the right side of the SL description.
4th Record the name of the corresponding certificate and the path to the certificate base in the Certificates section: The default path is: C: / Program Files (x86) / Common Files / SafeNet Sentinel / Sentinel LDK / installed
5th Delete the certificate file in the directory C: / Program Files (x86) / Common Files / SafeNet Sentinel / Sentinel LDK / installed
6th Restart the server.
AnswerInstall the latest dongle drivers on the new license server.http://download.dlubal.com/?file=Sentinel_LDK_GUI_setup.zip
If the new license server has the same IP address as the old server, the dongle can simply be changed over and no adjustments need to be made on the clients.
If the IP addresses are different, the IP address must be set on the clients either via the configuration in the Admin Control Center or via the hasplm.ini.
The procedure described above makes sense if client and server are not in the same subnet. Clients via VPN should have access or in advance a configuration in the Admin Control Center was made.
Yes, it is. There are two libraries:
- Default material library
- User-defined material library for the materials defined by a user
In the "Category" drop-down list, you can select various libraries. The paths are included in the text box below and can also be adjusted. In this way, you can copy the corresponding library files to the server and define the server path on the individual computers.
AnswerIf the client is in another network segment, it is necessary for Admin Control Center ("ACC") to refer to the IP address of the computer with the network dongle plugged.
You can access ACC using this address
http: // localhost: 1947
Under "Configuration," tab "Access to Remote License Managers," you should enter the IP address of the computer with the network dongle in the "Specify Search Parameters" text box.
The main program RSTAB/RFEM has to be registered in Windows for a successful import. You can start the registration manually once again when problems arise. Start DLInstaller.exe by right-clicking the function --> "Run as administrator". Then switch to the tab "COM" and select the version you are using (see image). Continue by clicking "Tab" to start the registration. Then start RFEM/RSTAB to test the export/import.
