AnswerThe entry of a Schlingerverbandes as a construction is currently not possible in KRANBAHN. But you can easily in RSTAB or RFEM the replacement spring, which can be considered as a lateral support then in KRANBAHN determine. Proceed as follows:
- Model the snare union in RSTAB or RFEM
- Place the unit load 1kN in place of the lateral support
- For each position of the lateral support, determine the node deformation in global Y.
- Calculate the replacement spring from the determined deformation and the load. (see image)
AnswerFor crane runway girders, which are held laterally by a resilient spring (Schlingerverband), the procedure 3 is set under Details under "Permissible deformations". This refers to the length to determine the allowable deformation on the inflection points of the deformed rod axis.
If the permissible deformation is to be related to the length between start and end support, this must be calculated manually.

Your support is by far the best
“Thank you very much for the useful information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. In the industry of structural analysis, I use several software including service contract, but your support is by far the best.”
