Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
The calculation does use all kernels. Some processors (Intel Core i7, i9, XEON...), however, support Hyper-Threading Technology. This means that each physically available procesor core is split up into two virtual cores for applications. This aims at a better usage of the single units of the core. There are some applications which benefit from this and run faster. However, this is not the case for the computation kernel of RFEM. Therefore, the computation kernel of RFEM often only uses the physically available cores, and Task Manager displays that the processor seems to only have a usage of 50%.

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you for the valuable information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. I have used a lot of software with a support contract in the field of structural analysis, but your support is by far the best. ”
