To ensure that the cross-sections are recognized when directly importing girders and columns in REVIT, a corresponding family must be available for these components in the REVIT project.
If this is not the case, you can import a suitable family into your project during the import process. The interface then independently recognizes all other cross-sections and creates the corresponding cross-sections within the family.Figure 01 does not show a 480/520 (mm) timber column. After importing the correct family type, this cross-section and all other cross-sections of the same type are recognized and the import process is successfully completed.
AnswerThe reason for this error message is the wrong title of the excel-sheet. The sheet with the acceleration data should be named "Acceleration Data" so that the module knows in which sheet the data is contained.
If the plugin is missing in REVIT, you can install it as follows:
1. Go to the following folder, yes by system:
32-bit system: "C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Dlubal \ DLInstaller"
64-bit system: "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ Dlubal \ DLInstaller"
2. Open the program DLInstaller.exe
3. Go to the "Diagnostics" tab and click "Start"
4. If this does not solve the problem, please send us the report that is generated by "Show Log".
AnswerYes, this is possible with the Configuration Manager. The display properties are a component of the currently active configuration. The active configuration is displayed in bold font in the Configuration Manager (Options → Configuration Manager) (see Figure 01). You can easily export the changes to the display properties of this configuration to a file with the two buttons (see Figure 01) and import them again to another PC.If you use RSTAB, you receive a configuration file with the extension ".rsconfig" during the export. For RFEM, you receive a ".rfconfig" file.
AnswerThe student version also supports the interface to REVIT.
AnswerYes, it works. You have to display the corresponding graphic and activate the export function. To do this, first select the format ASCII format - results. The tab "Results - Isolines / Isosurfaces (.dxf)" can be used to select the respective elements to be exported (see Figure 1).Via the import function of the program, this dxf-file can be downloaded eg For example, you can import it into an existing model as a background slide (see Figure 2).
AnswerRFEM provides an interface to software programs developed by the Dlubal company. The input data of allPredecessor versions are imported without problems. Also the files of the framework program can be opened directly and supplemented with area or volume elements. Conversely, you can also open RFEM 5 files in RSTAB 8.There is a direct link to the CAD applications ofand (but not for LT versions). With RFEM, the advantages of BIM ( ) to exchange data models for digital planning.
AnswerThe export of the model is easily possible. The export function of the program offers various interfaces. Using the EXCEL interface, the desired tables and formulas can be quickly transferred to EXCEL (see Figure 1). In the opposite way, of course, the tables can also be read in via the import function in RSTAB / RFEM (see Figure 2).
CAD programs, which are not primarily static design, usually map structural elements as solids. A simple rectangular support would therefore consist, for example, of 12 lines and 6 surfaces (see picture).
The volume can also be defined differently. Either over the boundary surfaces (BREP) or as a so-called "pulled-up body" (Swept Solid). The difficulty now is to generate a 1D element from this 3D element. This is usually only possible if the solids were created as Swept Solid. The "face" area defines the cross section. About the direction and length of the extrusion, we can read the correct Stablage.
In your case, however, it is a BREP. For this type, we currently can not ensure the correct conversion. It also refers to the warning that should appear when importing.
AnswerThis possibility exists also in the Revit over the Dlubal export. Here it is necessary to install the trial version of Dlubal RFEM or RSTAB after installing Revit. Revit now also shows the Dlubal link with which it is possible to export to an RSTAB / RFEM file without a license. In the Revit, however, care should be taken here that an analytical model is available, which is then exported.

Your support is by far the best
“Thank you very much for the useful information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. In the industry of structural analysis, I use several software including service contract, but your support is by far the best.”
