In addition to our technical support (e.g. via chat), you’ll find resources on our website that may help you with your design using Dlubal Software.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
AnswerIn RFEM, the easiest way is to use the "Plane Surfaces" → "Annulus" feature. This allows you to model the reinforcement rings very quickly and easily. Then you can extrude the inner line into a surface, the chimney is already generated. Now, the existing annular surface is copied upwards and the corresponding stiffeners are modeled. You can use the "Rotate" command to distribute the stiffeners over the chimney perimeter.
AnswerIn the CRANEWAY program, you can select the display of load combinations for the individual design situations in the middle of Window 1.5 Load Combinations.
AnswerIn RWIND Simulation, you can manually adjust the model position and the model rotation. To do this, simply select Model → Edit in the navigator, and then enter the desired rotation angle in the Position tab. In this case, the rotation is carried out without changing the displacement.
AnswerThe error message indicates that no option was found to define the required reinforcement for the mats and rebars selected from you. After clicking OK, you will automatically be redirected to Window 1.3. Here, please select additional mats and/or rebars and then perform the design again.
AnswerYes, that is possible. Simply select the structure to be copied. Make sure that the line releases and all released objects are also selected. Now you can create a copy with the 'Move and Copy' function.
AnswerIn RFEM, it is possible to search for FE mesh nodes using the menu 'Edit'→ 'Find by Number'. An existing FE mesh is of course a prerequisite.
AnswerThe easiest way to find a member is to select Project Navigator - Data. Here, right-click the members and select "Find Members." Now you can enter the member number and the member is marked with an arrow in the graphic.
It is possible to disable displaying the model in the Project Navigator View. Then only the loads will be displayed. Another option is to edit the loads via the table.
The video shows both options using a simple example.
AnswerUnfortunately, the simultaneous processing of RFEM or RSTAB files is not possible. When you open the corresponding file, it is locked and prepared for use in RFEM or RSTAB in the user's local working directory. Any other user can then open the RFEM or RSTAB file as a copy. A multiuser mode is not planned in the medium term.
AnswerWhen importing loads from support reactions of another RFEM file, it is possible to select the type of load distribution. There are available the options ‘Constant’ and ‘Polygonal’.

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you for the valuable information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. I have used a lot of software with a support contract in the field of structural analysis, but your support is by far the best. ”
