AnswerPlease check if you have accidentally docked the panel at the bottom of the screen.
If this is the case, you can undock the panel as shown in the video.
There are only some fictitious blank pages inserted and added to the table of contents. Thus, the printout report can be printed out on paper and then supplemented with your own documents from other programs (Excel tables, Word documents, or drawings). The table of contents and the page numbering are adjusted automatically.
If load cases are superimposed manually, the "Edit Load Cases and Combinations" dialog box only provides three options. This is specified in the "General Data" dialog box.
If you select the "Create combinations automatically" check box, you obtain the additional options (actions, combination expressions, action combinations) as desired.
An empty author.ini is not possible. It is mandatory to enter something in the first line, but the second and third lines may be empty.
Please also note that the text is only specified in author.ini. All other adjustments should be made in the settings of the printout report header.
In the "Properties" dialog box, you can change the title of a chapter and enter an additional comment, which will appear on the left page margin of the printout report. It is possible to show or hide this additional text.
You can also insert additional comments to the graphics in the printout report.
AnswerThe unusual values of shear areas, that is, greater than A, may occur for parametric thin-walled sections, for example, that have an atypical geometry and may not be ideally thin-walled.The shear areas are calculated according to the theory of thin-walled cross-sections in SHAPE‑THIN. Therefore, the defined cross-section should have reasonable dimensions with regard to the width-thickness ratios. The thickness t* of the connecting null element can be used to affect the shear transfer and thus the value of a shear area.
AnswerThe "Connect Node and Element" function allows you to connect the unconnected cross-section parts that are at a certain distance from an element. The connection is made by using an element with a zero thickness. This feature is available in the menu "Edit" → "Connect Node and Element."
AnswerIn the printout report selection, you can add the intermediate results of the add-on module in the Reinforcement tab.
In RFEM and RSTAB, you can insert external images into the printout report.
For this, you need to copy the image to the Clipboard using [Ctrl+C]. Click "Insert" → "Image from Clipboard" in the printout report menu to insert the image into the printout report.
This image appears as a separate section at the end of the printout report and you can move it to any position using the drag-and-drop function.
This feature also allows you to print a clipping plane in the printout report. To do this, take a screenshot of the clipping plane and copy it to the clipboard.
AnswerThe "Extrude" function allows you to quickly generate spatial solids from planar surfaces. To open the function, use the shortcut menu of the surface. To do this, right-click the surface. In the menu, select the "Extrude → Solid" function.A dialog box appears, where you can define various parameters. For example, the height h can be entered directly or determined graphically with the mouse.

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
“Thank you for the valuable information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. I have used a lot of software with a support contract in the field of structural analysis, but your support is by far the best. ”
