Modeling Bolt Connection
Tips & Tricks
The simplest way to model a bolt connection in RFEM 5 is to define a node in the center of a hole, and then connect it by means of internal members to the surface. If you define these members as compression members or apply the member nonlinearity “Failure under tension,” you can also simulate the hole bearing.
