Resulting Internal Force in Section

RFEM 5 offers a feature for control purposes. It is possible to display the resulting internal forces in sections. To illustrate this, the bending moment was selected in this example.

Manual check calculation by means of the integration of the surface axial force NX in section A‑A for HE‑B 200, from which surfaces were generated:

Top flange  N = 154.32 kN/m ⋅ 0.20 m = 30.86 kN (constant)
Bottom flange  N = 154.32 kN/m ⋅ 0.20 m = 30.86 kN (constant)
Top web  N = 92.59 kN/m ⋅ 0.0925 m ⋅ 0.5 = 4.28 kN (triangle)
Bottom web  N = 92.59 kN/m ⋅ 0.0925m ⋅ 0.5 = 4.28 kN (triangle)
Moment  My = 2 · 30.86kN · 0.0925 m + 2 · 4.28kN · 2/3 · 0.0925 m = 6.24 kNm
