Using Result Beams

The new “Result Beam” member type in RFEM 5 allows you to easily determine the load sums of individual floors. To do this, model a member in the relevant floor or in all floors, and then specify the relevant walls as inclusive objects in the parameters of the result beam. RFEM then integrates the surface internal forces to member internal forces.

For a middle floor, you now just have to subtract the axial force of the member from the floor below. Because of the integration of the surface internal forces, the result can vary depending on the selected length of the FE mesh elements.
