Modified Stiffnesses for Simulating Failing Members

If you want to simulate, for example, the failure of particular structural members, you can use the "Modify stiffness" function.

The model in the image represents a turbine rotor. In addition to the normal state for a predefined number of revolutions, we want to check the failure of a blade for the same number of revolutions. As the load, we used a load generated "From Movement". For the failure of the blade, we created another load case by deactivating the relevant surfaces using "Modify stiffness".

The result graphic shows the result of the calculation with the support forces resulting from the imbalance.
