Keeping Local Iteration Conditions

Tips & Tricks

If there are nonlinearities used in a model, for example contact solids, an error message may appear at the end of the calculation due to the locally unfulfilled convergence criteria. The reason for this is that the convergence of the global iteration conditions is governing in the calculation.

In order to converge the local nonlinearities as well, you can either increase the number of load increment and/or refine the tolerance of the global convergence criteria. Thus, the computation kernel is forced to use more iterations so the local convergence conditions are kept, too.
