Aluminum Design | Tension Design Considering Reduced Cross-Sectional Area (such as Hole Weakening)
Product Feature
You know for sure that when connecting tension-loaded components with bolted connections, you need to consider the cross-section reduction due to the bolt holes in the ultimate limit state design. The structural analysis programs also have a solution for this. In the Aluminum Design add-on, you can enter a member local section reduction for this. Enter the reduction of the cross-section as an absolute value or as a percentage of the total area at all relevant locations.

Member Transverse Stiffeners in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9
This article shows you how to define different types of member transverse stiffeners in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9. It also shows you how to consider them in the design as well as the calculation of members with 7 degrees of freedom.

Aluminum Design | Design Checks for General RSECTION Cross-Sections
In the Aluminum Design add-on, it is also possible to design general cross-sections that are not predefined in the cross-section library.
