Customer Reviews
Here you can find a feedback from the users who works with the Dlubal structural analysis software.
I have been using RFEM 6 to design steel in Italy and abroad for a few years now and it has become irreplaceable! Geometric modeling, always quick and precise, is made easy and fun by internal tools (such as CAD). Any type of structure from the simplest ones (beam elements) to the most complex geometries with shell elements are modeled with ease; BIM is excellent with other software. Editing is also simple and in case of changes and revisions to the project it takes a moment to implement them. It is a simple multi-regulation software, flexible in use, clear, complete with every type of structural analysis, both static and dynamic, precise and reliable. In my opinion it excels in the non-linearities present both in input and in the management of non-linear calculation, the quality of the meshing is excellent. The post processing is very complete and the results are always clear, usable and simple to consult and interpret. He always leaves me free in my design choices and assists me in each one. Comparing myself with colleagues who use other software, frankly it is impossible to find better. It simply does things that other software doesn't do and it does them in a simple way. The assistance from Team Italia has always been up to par and has also improved a lot over the years with continuous growth. Thanks and congratulations!
In retrospect, I would like to thank you very much for the invitation to the digitalBAU trade fair in Cologne. It has been an experience and also impressive for me to see what has happened in the digital sector in the construction industry and related fields in recent times.
The visit and the very pleasant and detailed technical discussion with your enginerrs at the Dlubal booth have confirmed my opinion that your programs in the field of civil and structural engineering are excellent. I was and still am a fan of your user-friendly programs and wish Dlubal all the best for the future.
After a six-month trial, I've decided to switch to Dlubal RFEM because of its superior ability to model structures and their behavior as close to reality as possible, compared to the other models used: effective eccentricities, linear or nonlinear supports and hinges, various member sections, steel connection configurator with a wide range of options, and so on.
Moreover, the interface is user-friendly and intuitive, so it's easy to understand the functions without having to refer to the documentation.
Result filters allow for a quick interpretation of the calculations, while setting up and editing the calculation notes is quick and easy.
A significant advantage is a wide range of resources on the Dlubal website as well as on Youtube.
Last but not least, the sales and technical service are always ready to answer your questions. The main points of the comparison are excellent. I'm thus convinced of my choice.
Excellent software, very powerful, and intuitive.
I would like to thank you for the opportunity to try out RFEM 6. The program is very user-friendly for me, and if I have encountered a problem, it always helped me to watch the tutorial video, study the online manual, or finally contact your online support, where they were happy to assist me. I was very pleased that many parameters are predefined, but can be customized. That's the reason why I consider the program to be very flexible.
I would like to mention that I'm excited about how much information and webinars you share. Since I've been on maternity leave for several years, when I have not had many opportunities to stay up to date with the latest developments, your website is an inexpensive source of information for me.
Professional and reliable finite element modeling and analysis programs, with rather intuitive work interfaces. Interoperability with other 3D modeling software also allows for using them in academics and for university research. Excellent training service and technical support.
After analyzing the options on the market, we have chosen RFEM by Dlubal for the calculation of our timber/steel structures, because it is the software that allows the most efficient 3D modeling for these types of complex models.
We appreciated the help of Dlubal's customer service, which was able to guide us in order to model all the technical optimizations. We witnessed the responsiveness and technicality of the Dlubal customer service, which we were able to discuss very specific points with.
We have experimented with the fact that the software does all the Eurocode design checks and yet remains very flexible to the requirements of the project.
We highly recommend the RFEM 6 software!
The interface of RFEM 6 is much more intuitive to me than the interface of RFEM 5. The structure of tables is also well-arranged, so my work with RFEM 6 is more straightforward and clear.
I would like to thank you for your work. All speakers prepare very carefully for the webinars and present the information in a thorough and accessible manner. I enjoy watching and learning from your webinars.
RFEM is impressive software that combines power and clarity. It can calculate all types of structures, still providing an extremely intuitive interface. We appreciate the program utilization in our work as structural timber engineers.
We use it mainly to perform structural analysis and design of frame and truss structures made of timber and steel, as well as CLT panels, and composite timber-concrete floor slabs.
RSTAB is a very powerful calculation software, as it allows the designer to model any type of structure in a very academic and scrupulous way, with the simplicity and practicality that is needed in the profession. It's easy to obtain an analysis model very close to reality without many input difficulties.
The exhaustive range of functions provided by the RFEM 6 software, which we have recently purchased, allows for precise study of current issues, such as the interface between materials, complex bracing systems, or the vibration behavior of floors. The training provided by the technical service allowed for a quick and efficient introduction to the software.
My clients are blown away by the comprehensive design and nice looking calculation package for our modular building systems.
Of course, I would not be able to do this without Dlubal software, your team's expertise and excellent customer service. Thank you so much to the Dlubal team.
Was an excellent Webinar "2018 NDS CLT Design in RFEM 6 (USA)"! Thank you.
You are making great improvements to the Dlubal software RFEM, the Add-ons, codes, etc. It is great to see how Dlubal has become an outstanding software for structural engineers. I particularly love to see that tensile membrane structures can also be modeled with Dlubal. Kudos!
Such good support (with video) is not a matter of course, which is why I would like to express my gratitude for it. The workaround works wonderfully.
I would like to thank you and your colleagues for yesterday's webinar. It was again a Champions League level.
We are very impressed by the work Dlubal puts into developing RFEM and responding to issues. It’s a great software package and you’re constantly making it better and better. RFEM is by far our favorite analysis software at the moment, so thank you for the work you put into this!
We use Dlubal programs for calculations for the customers who ask us for structural analysis services, especially for steel structures of plants. Employees in our office are happy with our investment in your technology
Thank you very much for the great integration of warping torsion into the general RFEM 6 analysis.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to follow the "Stability Analysis and Torsional Warping (7 DOF) in RFEM 6" live webinar, but due to your recording, which I've watched, I am very excited about the current possibilities of RFEM 6.
I was particularly impressed by the speaker! Please pass on my compliments to him for his calm demeanor and the background knowledge provided of the subject of the webinar, which was not that simple. This video is appropriate to supplement the corresponding lecture contents about warping torsion and stability analyses in steel construction, so that students can also compare the 'black box system' (now it's more transparent) with manual calculations using simplified flange bending or the equivalent member method.
It has always been important to me that students recognize when they have to consider warping torsion and how they can estimate its effect. Also, the correlation between a stability analysis on the entire structure and the design's possible traceability on the equivalent member by the effective lengths of the governing eigenvalue was described excellently in the presentation!
We adopted Dlubal in our work and haven't looked back. Powerful, easy to use, easy to learn, with mercifully simple output (once set up).
Whether you require nonlinear time history analysis for machine-induced vibrations, cable and FEA shell analysis, form-finding, BIM and BIM Connector, or RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9, if you want to succeed, you need to use Dlubal Software!
I have to say, I would never have expected such a detailed answer, clearly and friendly explained.
I really like to use your programs and am impressed by their options and design. The fact that you put so much effort into a student request is one more argument to use Dlubal Software.
Dlubal Software is a software that is widely used in the German construction industry. Many architects and engineers have utilized and worked with this softeare during their studies.
Dlubal offers an extensive range of basic finite element modules for facade structures that can cover the conventional analysis of members, surfaces, and solids, as well as functions that can be used to improve output efficiency.
However, the core is the RWIND Simulation program, which can combine the numerical wind tunnel with finite element calculations, significantly improving the efficiency and economy of the exterior wall design. In addition, Dlubal offers solutions for form-finding, cutting patterns, and prestressed cable systems for membrane structures, which are not included in most FEM programs. In general, I highly recommend Dlubal Software's programs.
CRANEWAY is very well done and allows you to speed up also rather complicated craneway designs according to Eurocodes, especially in the part related to fatigue. In some cases, its use was indispensable in overcoming difficult situations with foreign customers. The feedback from Dlubal Software, both commercial and technical, has always been fast and accurate.
The basic training for RFEM was very extensive and technically useful for what was proposed, and last but not least, it was not boring at all, so I would like to thank you.
Excellent product ... even if it is a requirement of some designers, this is one of the few programs on the market able to perform the verification of aluminum sections. Customer support is at the top and always prepared. I recommend this program!
- Division into two parts: Theory and basics, practical examples.
- Very good practical examples.
- After the training, I am able to use the different design methods according to Eurocode 3 in my calculations.
- The design methods were shown with simple examples and then we went to the more complex cases. Differences between the methods were explained and the methods were compared. In this way, it is easy to recognize immediately the limits of application and the design options.
- The tests during the presentation.
I would just like to send a quick note to wish everyone at Dlubal well, in particular I would like to say thank you for the fantastic, thorough and professional support you provide.
Overall I am super content with RFEM and how the product development is. Also with the webinars, how your communication is and so on.
Keep up the goods!
What an excellent and fast support.
I would like to thank all Dlubal employees. The software is very well programmed and the support, especially with the webinars, is also very good and helps to familiarize with new applications. This combination of the very good product and free, targeted support by very well-structured webinars is, in my opinion, the main reason for your success.
I hope it will continue this way! Congratulations to all developers and thank you to the management and all employees for this great product and concept.
I was able to complete the calculation of my building in the best possible way and would like to thank you very much for the support that you have given me on a big scale. I think your software and the quite easy way to enter model data, and the entire user-friendly interface of the software, in general, is very good, but without your valuable advice, I could not have solved the various problems I faced.
The webinar "Design Cold-Formed Steel Sections According to EC3" was great. It was my first webinar and I would like to follow more in the future. Especially for new users/students like me and if too fast, it is very good that it is recorded and you can watch it again. I also like the fact that I was able to follow the webinar free of charge because students would rather not attend a paid webinar.
Thank you for the webinar "Design Cold-Formed Steel Sections According to Eurocode 3." I really liked it. The webinar recordings are a real plus point. Keep it up!
Thank you for this brilliant webinar. Very well structured and very easy to understand. The others have to compete against you.
As part of my course in civil engineering and building architecture (mechanics of structures with glass elements and tensile structures), I sponsor a large part of your software, which I think is really great!
Thank you for one of the best solutions. I quickly understood the basics using RX-TIMBER.
Hope in future I will buy short term licenses according to the requests from my job.
I really enjoy watching the webinars you showcase on YouTube. They helped me to convince my client to recently purchase RFEM. They provide a wealth of information.
I really enjoy using RFEM. I've used many analysis softwares in my career but never have I come across a software as powerful and intuitive as RFEM. Thanks for re-sparking a new passion for me.
In just a few weeks, I've been able to use RFEM to analyse some amazing structures, from small to big. I don't understand why everyone is not using Dlubal? It's given my client the edge in this competitive environment.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the prompt and very fast support, it was crucial for my work being under time pressure; excellent customer service. Really, thank you very much!
Another very successful webinar, this time on the topic of laminate design.
I have watched the webinar recording "Design of Cross-laminated Timber Panels (CLT) According to Eurocode 5" on YouTube and I am impressed by about the program and the very good presentation.
We are an engineering office specialized in concrete and metal structures. We have decided to purchase the RFEM software to calculate structures and mechanical components.
For more than a year, it has been a daily pleasure to work with this tool! The support team is attentive with specialist knowledge while the software is intuitive, efficient and extremely comprehensive. Kudos!
I used this software for my master's thesis and I could handle it very well. It is intuitive and quick to learn; excellent results can be achieved immediately. The only thing I did not like was that I did not have a Mac version, but I hope that it will be available soon. Apart from that it works fine. I can recommend it!
The webinar about RWIND Simulation was very successful!
From now on, it is possible to analyze wind forces on geometries of objects that are not regulated in the standard. The wind force assumption according to the standard was often a more or less good estimate.
Great praise to the hotline, which is really outstanding. I don't know anybody who is as easy to reach and provides such help.
RWIND Simulation - absolutely brilliant!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Your webinar on RWIND Simulation was very impressive. Like the speakers at the info days, the speaker confidently described the performance of the new program.
I am pleased to be a customer of such an innovative software developer that does not rest on its laurels, but constantly provides users with new tools to make working even more pleasant and efficient.
Keep it up!
I really enjoyed the webinar. It was so well designed and organized that I sometimes forgot the presentation was live.
I am a student and started using the program a few weeks ago. This webinar was my first webinar. If I were a professional Dlubal user, I would probably have had questions straight away. Instead I just had a look and I am very excited about the capabilities of the software.
Many thanks for yesterday's Dlubal Info Day which was perfectly planned and held by very well-trained staff.
RFEM is a reliable partner for my daily tasks in building construction, just great!
RSTAB is a software program that I recently discovered and which is very helpful for the calculation of steel structures. With the available webinars on the Dlubal website, I have familiarized myself with the various functions of the program. With the free student license, I can familiarize myself with the software and use it during my studies. I especially recommend it to civil engineering students.
I am amazed and grateful for Dlubal's customer service. It’s fast and one of the reason why I recommend your software to other structural engineers.
The RFEM add-on module RF-STABILITY is a perfect combination with RWIND Simulation. Using RF-STABILITY, I can perform a buckling analysis to get accurate effective lengths. Using RWIND Simulation, I can get accurate wind loads. For unusually shaped structures, it would be a wild guess if calculating wind loads from the standard code... either not conservative or too conservative. My client is happy with the results and impressed!
We really appreciate the prompt replies and personalized approach we receive from Dlubal. It makes the transition to RFEM an easy and positive experience for all involved!
RFEM is everything I expected and more. I’m having a blast learning the software and the webinars are fantastic.
