8.1 Design Cases

Design cases allow you to group surfaces for the designs, or to design different variants (for example, modified materials of reinforcement specifications, nonlinear analysis).

It is no problem to analyze one surface in different design cases.

The design cases of RF-CONCRETE Surfaces can be selected also in RFEM by using the load case list in the toolbar.

Create a new design case

To create a new design case in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces, click

      • File → New Case.

The following dialog box appears.

Figure 8.1 Dialog box New RF-CONCRETE Surfaces Case

In this dialog box, enter a No. (one that is not yet assigned) for the new design case. A Description will make the selection in the load case list easier.

After clicking [OK], the 1.1 General Data window opens where you can enter the new design data.

Rename a design case

To change the description of a design case in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces, click

      • File → Rename Case.

The following dialog box appears.

In this dialog box, you can specify a different Description as well as a different No. for the design case.

Copy a design case

To copy the input data of the current design case in RF-CONCRTE Surfaces, click

      • File → Copy Case.

The following dialog box appears.

Define the No. and, if necessary, a Description for the new case.

Delete a design case

To delete a design case in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces, click

      • File → Delete Case.

The following dialog box appears.
