This project is a building in the city of Sfax (Tunisia) with a covered area of approximately 133 m², consisting of a first floor and an office floor. In this thesis, two options were analyzed.

The modular version consists of standard containers on circular concrete slabs. The stiffness and stiffening of the containers is ensured by the trapezoidal sheetings. The containers were insulated with a timber cladding filled with rock wool.

With the SHAPE-THIN stand-alone program, it was possible to create the parts of the containers, which were then modeled in RFEM. The wind loads were determined according to the digital wind tunnel method of the RWIND Simulation stand-alone program with a reference speed of 120 km/h and terrain category 0. Finally, various designs and analyses were performed in RFEM.

The students also proposed an option of the building consisting of mixed elements (slab, ceilings, beams, posts, etc.) connected by fasteners. However, it proved to be less economical than the option with containers.
