Dialog Box "New Surface Contact"

The “New Surface Contact” dialog box is used to define a contact between two surface groups. “1 - Failure under Tension | Full Force Transmission” is selected as the surface contact type. The graphical display shows two parallel surfaces. A diagram illustrates the relationship between the shear stress and the relative displacements δ, as well as the normal stress σ.
