Dialog box "New Imperfection case"
The “New Imperfection Case” dialog box allows you to define and manage imperfections for structural analysis. The list already contains cases for global pre-deformations in the x- and y-direction. For the current case, IF3, the imperfection type is set to “Local Imperfections Only.” This feature allows you to define realistic geometric equivalent imperfections, such as initial bows or skews, directly on members or surfaces. The graphical display on the right illustrates the effect of these local pre-deformations on one- and two-dimensional elements.
