The dialog box allows for the input of locally reduced cross-sectional areas for the tension check in the steel design. This is essential in order to correctly determine the load-bearing capacity of structural components with bolted connections. The software supports this by allowing reduced cross-sections to be specified as an absolute value or as a percentage. It considerably simplifies the consideration of hole weakening.
