The "New Support Design" dialog offers a detailed user interface for adjusting the bearing pressure design checks in timber design. Users can choose between internal and external supports and define specific load points for compression loads in the y- and z-directions of the cross-section. The kc,90 factor, relevant for compression perpendicular to grain, can be adjusted individually, for example with a value of 1.75 for glulam. The bearing length is automatically adjusted to the code requirements wherever possible.
