Steel launching nose designed for the longitudinal launch of the concrete box of a bridge superstructure on the D35 highway in the Czech Republic.

The steel launching nose is specially designed for the longitudinal launch of the concrete box on the bridge superstructure of the D35 highway in the Czech Republic. The design of the nose allows its further use in similar construction projects with the possibility of dimensional variations. The design was based on a member and wall-member spatial model developed using SHAPE-THIN 8 and RFEM. The computational model was created by Ing. Petr Nečesal, Ing. David Marván, and PIS PECHAL, s.r.o.
