Design of highly eccentric loading on foundations with eccentricity and stress distribution according to ACI 318
Presentation of the design verification for a single foundation subjected to highly eccentric loading in accordance with ACI 318. The eccentricities of the resulting vertical load in the x- and y-direction, as well as the resulting stresses beneath the foundation base, are taken into account. In addition, limit values for allowable eccentricities and the governing design criterion for the evaluation of the bearing capacity are provided.
