Reinforced Concrete Slab Design with Punching Shear Evaluation

Analysis of a locally supported reinforced concrete slab, utilizing FEM in RFEM 6, focusing on column-supported punching shear behavior.

This project focuses on the design of a monolithic reinforced concrete slab supported by square columns, with a single opening. The slab spans 46.8 × 20.7 m and is 280 mm thick, supported by columns measuring 450 × 450 mm. A linear elastic FEM analysis using RFEM 6 evaluated punching shear behavior. The study demonstrated that software optimizes reinforcement compared to manual methods. The research was conducted as a thesis at the Czech Technical University in Prague by [https://www.dlubal.com/en/ Michaela Rotterová].
