Define composite section
Display of the definition of a composite cross-section consisting of an I-section and a metal or concrete slab. The input window shows the selection of the combination type "Composite beam | I-section with slab, deck ribs aligned parallel to the beam span" as well as the parameters for the I-section (material S235) and the metal plate (Hoesch T40.1 - 1.50, material S235). The geometry of the concrete slab is defined with a width of 500 mm and a height of 140 mm. The material of the concrete slab is specified as C30/37.
