The dialog box shows the fire design parameters of a surface. The required fire resistance duration is 30 minutes, with the charring rules for walls and surface components activated at β₀ = 0.65 mm/min for all layers. The user interface allows the definition of a layer with zero strength and a threshold thickness of 0.118 inch for neglecting the reduced layer. The fire exposure is set for top (–z) and bottom (+z) with an initial protection at the bottom with a protection time tf of 15 minutes. The calculation is performed according to the Canadian standard CSA O86.
