High Demand for Dlubal Structural Analysis Programs at BAU 2015 in Munich
Dlubal Software at the BAU 2015 fair in Munich, Germany
BAU is the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems with a special exhibition area "BAU IT" for construction software. The dominant theme at this year's BAU was BIM (Building Information Modeling). Due to good BIM integration and the impressive software solutions in RFEM and RSTAB for 3D calculations, the Dlubal booth was well attended on all days.
Focus on New Connections and Dynamics
Dlubal gave detailed presentations of the latest versions of the program packages RFEM and RSTAB in Munich. The modules DYNAM Pro and new connection modules for steel and timber construction were shown for the first time.
Besides steel and solid construction, topics like the analysis of cross laminated timber and glass surfaces with RFEM also played an increased role.
Strong Interest in the Topic of BIM and Structural Planning
Above all, Dlubal's comprehensive approach was convincing when performing structural analyses with 3D models. This prevents planning mistakes in the first place, for example when taking over or transferring loads. Furthermore, more economical solutions can often be realized.
The audience was particularly interested in presentations of the simple direct data exchange with the programs Tekla Structures and Revit Structure. Existing customers were mainly interested in new features concerning the interfaces, for example the export of RFEM/RSTAB results (internal forces, deformations, reinforcement content) to Revit Structure.
Another big topic was the analysis of connections in steel and timber construction. Since all add-on modules are integrated in the 3D model, there is no need to laboriously determine and re-enter governing internal forces for the joint design - a big advantage when you have many load combinations to analyze.
BAU 2015 has been an important indicator for Dlubal to evaluate the customers' satisfaction and has also been decisive for new developments in structural analysis software. The success during the 6 days of the trade fair shows that the structural concept of Dlubal corresponds well with current trends like BIM but also at the same time meets the specific requirements of the engineers working in structural planning. Thank you to all visitors for this very positive signal.
We are looking forward to having the same great response at BAU 2017 in Munich.
