AISC 360-16 Standard Available in RF-/STEEL AISC

Structural Design According to American Standard

The recent release of the ANSI/AISC 360‑16 standard is now available in RF‑/STEEL AISC.

Both LRFD and ASD ultimate limit state design is possible with consideration to load cases, load combinations, or result combinations.

Serviceability limit state design can also be calculated for steel members with a utilization ratio based on the member's absolute or relative deflection to a specified limiting deflection ratio (i. e. L/360 for simply supported members and L/180 for cantilever members).

The AISC 360 cross‑section and material database in RFEM has also been updated to maintain the latest properties from the 2016 standard. The Direct Analysis Method including stiffness reduction can be considered directly in RFEM or the design per the Effective Length Method in RF‑/STEEL AISC.
